Blake finished up his basketball season with Heritage! It wasn't easy but the team made dramatic improvements each time they played. I'm proud of Blake's hustle and encouraging words to his teammates!
I picked the kids up from school and Preston mentioned his hands were red and itchy. We were headed to the dentists office so when I brushed the kids' teeth real quick in the bathroom, I took a look and he had this rash all over his arms and trunk of his body! I immediately assumed it was from the Amoxicillin he had been taking.
By the end of the day, it was looking pretty bad. It spread everywhere, pretty much head to toe! His ears were also bright red and swollen. I tried rubbing his whole body down with lavender oil to see if that would soothe the itching but he was quite miserable. We ended up leaving town last minute to drive to California before Brittney had her back surgery (see pic below) and left Preston in the care of Aunt Kristin. He went to school the next morning but ended up coming home midday because he was dying of itchiness. Benadryl was his friend until it cleared up several days later. Guess there will be no more Amox for Preston!
We literally drove to California overnight to see Britt before her surgery. Sometimes you do wild things for people you love.

Daddy always brings home Valentine's Day flowers for his little ladies!
Preston is so happy he's finally moving up in the {car seat} world! Officially in a booster!
Hayden has been leaving us the sweetest notes in envelopes under our pillows! This one is me & her inside a heart, with two smaller hearts below. She sure loves coloring and is working so hard on writing her letters, all unprompted. She's already a professional at H's!Gavin's team played in the championship basketball game today. Unfortunately they didn't win, but Gavin did make a basket! Another great season with RISE basketball!
Lately I've been looking at her, realizing she is not a baby anymore. I still carry her everywhere and she gets away with too much. My heart is so full of love for this little girl!!
Blakester, my super awesome running buddy tonight! He lit right up when I invited him along for a run. He talked THE WHOLE THREE MILES and kept saying things like, "This feels so great!" and "Everything is so beautiful!" It was nice to have him as company.
That's it!! Last run before the big race!!!
