LEGO KidsFest

Since we weren't really taking a BIG summer vacation, we decided to surprise the kids and take them to Lego KidsFest, which is an event that tours around the country.  It was at the Arizona Cardinals stadium in Glendale.  The whole "field" was set up with different exhibits for the kids to explore and play.   It was a perfect way to spend the day with our Lego CrAzY kids! (we left Hayden home with a sitter)

Got their tickets, waiting in line for the Lego Master Building Academy!

This guy (orange shirt) is a Lego Master Buidler.  Basically, he gets paid to play with Legos all day!!  He designs and builds the BIG, lifesize Lego models.  He taught the kids a few tips and tricks for making your Lego creations stronger and more stable.  Then the kids got a chance to build their own creation.

The kids waited in line to show the Master their creations and he gave praise for their creativity and skills, while checking the strength of it's parts.

Brooklyn and I skipped over to the Lego Friends section while the boys waited in line for another exhibit.  She's over the moon that they finally created GIRL Lego sets!!  She's just as much into Legos as the boys and has amassed quite a collection of Lego Friends sets!

Lego CHIMA~ these are fairly new, but cool!  They have "speedorz," which are little animal guys on vehicles that go when you pull the ripcord.  The kids got their own set for participating in this group activity!

 Lego Racers~

Lego Hero Factory- the boys love these creature guys!  We have a whole slew of them between the three boys.

The BIG Lego brick pile!!  Millions and millions of Lego bricks!  This kinda reminded me of our playroom.  Haha!!

Brooklyn getting buried in the Legos!
She's in there somewhere!!

LOVE this picture!!

I was trying to take a picture of Preston amongst the Legos.  I kept telling him to SMILE and he just opened his eyes wider and wider!!   Poor kid, he just wanted to play in the Legos.

Lego building competition~ they got a small Lego set for participating!

Preston is TOTALLY into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now!  They each got a Raphael minifigure for bringing in the flyer we got in the mail!  This mural was sooooo cool!

The whole surface was made with Lego 1x1 bricks!  Amazing!

We spent 4 hours playing with Legos and kids had an absolute blast.  It was a great, family fun day!
