Impromptu photo session

Last Wednesday, I decided to take the kids outside and have fun taking some pictures. The Barney girls were included since I babysat them that day. Can I just say I love my camera?!?? Here are a bunch of my favorites-
(Jennie, I hope you don't mind me sharing some of your girls too!)

First, SydneyThen, Miss Macey, quite serious after just waking from her nap!
BrooklynBlakey, fully playing the part in his "army man" ensemble
And last, but not least, sweet Gavin!A few extras

It's okay if you show my daughters I guess. Just kidding. All of the pictures look great. I love the one of B&B&S. I think that I am going to get that one printed and hang in her bedroom. The one of Macey and Gavin is pretty cute too.

Those are the CUTEST pictures! I want to know what kind of camera you have because no matter how hard I try and how many different settings I change (and apperatures and f-stops, etc. etc.) I can't get my camera to focus on something in the foreground and blur out the background like that one of Blake. That looks soooo cool! Is it my camera?
Anyway, DARLING kids! and you're such a talented photographer!!!!!

Thanks for all the compliments, everyone! :) Yes, I took the pictures with my camera. It's a Nikon D40 digital SLR. I really need to read the manual and watch the DVD about how to do more cool things with my camera, but these pictures were all taken on the "portrait" setting. For now, I just have fun practicing with my camera, but hopefully someday, I can take pictures and get paid!! :)

im such a retard! I sure didnt give you the right number. I kept thinking, hopefully they get on thier blog so we can get together. That is what happens when I am being rushed to leave by my dear sweet husband! We are sad we missed you!

Sorry it didn't work out to get together while you were in town. That would have been a lot of fun.

Oh they are so grown up! Wow! I can't believe how old they are and that so soon you all are moving on...it reminds me of when we left and I cried and cried and missed you guys so much! They are little people now! What great pictures you took!

You really do take great pictures...I like the 1st one of Brooklyn the best...but all of them are beautiful! Do you think you'll take pictures professionally some day?

Carrie, I can still remember seeing you and Kanani when we were moving in. You were like 50 months pregnant and I remember telling Lindsay that I thought you two were LDS.

This is from Matt

The camera is great certainly, but I really think the subject matter and photographer have a bigger hand in the success of all these pictures! Way cute!
